Description
The GRIT Freedom Chair is an all-terrain wheelchair with 26" rear mountain bike wheels, an MIT-designed and patented lever system, and ready for any adventure. It disassembles to fit into any vehicle and is serviceable by any local bike shop. It features quick-release rear wheels, seatback, and footrest for easy storage and travel. Return Policy
Please inspect your product upon delivery. If the product is damaged or is not the correct product, please refuse the delivery. If your item was delivered without a signature and is damaged or incorrect please call 1800wheelchair Customer Service at 1-800-320-7140. Once accepted, the following conditions apply:
- All returns must be in original packaging and submitted within 30 days.
- No restocking fee if the return is initiated within 30 calendar days of chair delivery.
- You are responsible for the cost of return shipping
- The item must be in new condition; unused.
- All accessories included in the box must be returned.
- Items canceled after the product has already shipped will be considered a return.
- Returns will not be accepted later than 30 days after delivery.
- Unfortunately, delivery service fees, including Next-Day and Overnight shipping fees, Inside Delivery, White Glove Delivery, and Tech Set-Up are not refundable.

Trailhandles
If you need extra help with pushing, consider using Trail Handles. These handles attach securely to the seat back frame and come with vibration-dampening grips. They can be adjusted up or down to suit pushers of various heights. Designed for convenience, these lightweight handles can be flipped down for compact storage. Constructed from durable 1000-series tubular steel, molded plastic, and rubber.
Side Guards
Side Guards limit mud splatter and protect your clothing from the wheels. They ship with magnets and screws for temporary or permanent use.
When installed on your GRIT Freedom Chair, the tallest side of each Side Guard measures 11 inches. Depending on the seat cushion on your chair, the exposed height of each Side Guard will be between 6-7 inches.
Steering Pegs
Steering Pegs attach to the front wheel and allow riders to steer the chair with their feet. The included velcro straps can hold each foot in place.
While everybody (every body) is different, we've found that Steering Pegs are best for folks who are 5'3" and taller. Some folks 5'3" or shorter can place a cushion behind their backs to help themselves reach the pegs. If you're not sure if you'll be able to reach, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service.
Note: Use of Steering Pegs requires lower-limb mobility, as this accessory controls the front wheel of the GRIT Freedom Chair.

Wedge cushion
The Wedge Cushion is a simple way to increase comfort for many riders! Whether you're looking for more elbow clearance, more legroom, back support, or to adjust the dump angle, consider adding a Wedge Cushion.
5'4" or under? Use a Wedge Cushion to keep your elbows over the rear wheels. 6'3" or over? Use a Wedge Cushion to give your legs some extra room. Back uncomfortable? Use a Wedge Cushion between your back and the seatback. Want to reduce dump angle? Place the wide side of the Wedge Cushion at the rear of the seat. Want to increase dump angle? Place the wide side of the Wedge Cushion at the front of the seat.

Utility Clamp Bare
Calling all DIY-ers! Use the vertical bar and/or the two threaded side-holes to make your own phone holder, cup holder, camera mounting bar, or another add-on. The vertical bar accepts M10 x 1.5mm bolts and the two side-holes feature standard 9/16” threads.
The Utility Clamp is like a multi-tool for your GRIT Freedom Chair! It comes in multiple different variations.
Utility Clamp Rope Mount
Use the Rope Mount to work together with your team! This configuration comes with a rock-climbing hanger, and a carabiner, each engineered to endure the rigors of the trail. Just add your rope of choice and ride on.
This accessory attaches to the Utility Clamp itself, which features a vertical bar and two threaded side-holes make your own phone holder, cup holder, camera mounting bar, or another add-ons. While the Rope Mount accessory uses the vertical bar, you can always remove it and add your own modification; that bar accepts M10 x 1.5mm bolts. The side-holes on the Utility Clamp accept standard 9/16” threads.
Utility Clamp Foot platforms
Foot Platforms are the best option for riders unable to reach the standard footplate or who want more ground clearance. Slide this accessory along the boom to find the best location for you. Velcro straps make it easy to secure one or both feet.
This accessory attaches to the Utility Clamp itself, which features a vertical bar and two threaded side-holes make your own phone holder, cup holder, camera mounting bar, or another add-ons. The vertical bar accepts M10 x 1.5mm bolts. While the Foot Platforms thread into the side holes, you can remove them and insert any other pedals that use standard 9/16” threads.
Utility Clamp leg Elevation
Leg Elevation is the best option for taller riders and those more comfortable with their legs outstretched. Padded supports provide a comfortable place to rest your legs. Slide the whole unit up and down the boom of the GRIT Freedom Chair as desired.
This accessory attaches to the Utility Clamp itself, which features a vertical bar and two threaded side-holes make your own phone holder, cup holder, camera mounting bar, or another add-ons. While the Leg Elevation accessory uses the vertical bar, you can always remove it and add your own modification; that bar accepts M10 x 1.5mm bolts. The side-holes on the Utility Clamp accept standard 9/16” threads.
