It's important for the wheelchair to be fitted properly and be as narrow as possible while maintaining comfort and safety.

This will insure the best performance for navigating tight areas both inside the home as well out in public spaces.

A wheelchair that is too narrow or too wide can cause discomfort. When too narrow, a wheelchair can become restrictive and increase the likelihood of pressure sores, while when it's too wide, becomes more difficult to push due to the angle of the arms from the shoulders to the wheels.

To determine the necessary seat width, measure the rider's widest area of the body and add one inch. This will allow for optimum seat width while maintaining ideal usability, comfort and safety.

To determine the appropriate seat depth, measure from the back of a chair to the inside of your knee. Subtract one inch to assure no contact is made between the edge of the wheelchair seat and the inside of your leg, which could cause discomfort and prevent the rider from sitting back fully in the chair.

All Golden Technologies products are classified as Class II medical devices, because of this, the item can only be returned due to manufacturer defect even if unused once the product has arrived at the customer's home. If the item is canceled before or during shipping there is a 20% restocking fee and any freight charges incurred (both outbound and inbound) will not be refunded.

Delivery

Standard Delivery

During a residential curbside delivery, the driver will leave the product in the driveway or on the porch, as long as there are no steps leading to either. The customer is responsible for getting the product inside their home.

Inside Delivery + $221.00

This includes delivery over the first threshold of the costumer's home, as long as the box fits through the doorway, otherwise delivery will be to the first dry area.

By federal law, freight carriers will not complete a residential inside delivery under the following circumstances:

• the delivery address is not accessible using a standard freight truck;
• the distance between the roadway and the entryway is unreasonably long;
• there is any number of stairs leading to the front door;
• the door is not wide enough for the Golden unit to fit through while still in its box.

White Glove Delivery + $276.00

White Glove service is the most involved delivery service. In a White Glove service, a White Glove agent will:

• Deliver the unit inside the customer’s home;
• Unpack the unit;
• Set it up in the room of their choice;
• Connect the power;
• Remove all packing debris.

During this type of delivery, there are certain terms and restrictions:

• Before delivery, the customer must clear the space where the chair is to be set up, as well as a path leading to it.
• If the agent must go up or down more than one flight of stairs, customer must notify before placing the order. Agents will certainly do this, but additional fees may apply.
• The determination of whether or not a living space is unsanitary is reserved to the discretion of the White Glove agent. If a White Glove agent feels a true and direct threat to his health and well-being, he will contact the vendor.
• Agents have up to twelve days from the day the unit ships from Golden to deliver the unit, unless delay is due to unavailability of the end user or inclement weather.
• Agents will contact the end user beforehand, to schedule a delivery window; agents are not required to give less than a four-hour delivery window, although they may narrow that down if they can.
• There is no training involved with White Glove delivery.

Service Agreement

Free One Year In-Home Service Agreement

•The consumer must be within a 60-mile range of an authorized service agent to qualify for the program.
•Consumers living outside the 60-mile radius will still receive the warranty for the product, i.e., pay for shipping for the first year, pay for the parts as specified by the warranty, and pay for labor as specified by the warranty for that specific product, but the service fee to drive out and back to the home would NOT be covered.
•The Service Agreement is for one year only.
•The Service Agreement is valid in the continental United States. Alaska and Hawaii are excluded from the program.

WeatherBee Scooter Weather Cover

The WeatherBee Scooter Weather Cover covers your scooter from moisture and dust when being stored or transported. It's durable, but it's also lightweight and easy to handle if your mobility is limited! To use, simply slip over your vehicle. Secure underneath using the locking drawstring and grommets for elastic cords (cords not included). Don't let the elements ruin your investment! Measure the circumference, or add 2 times the width to 2 times the length of the scooter.
